About Meadowbrook
The Mission of the East Greenwich Public Schools is to genuinely know, support, and celebrate all students in meeting their full potential. We are committed to meaningful collaboration among faculty, staff, students, families, and the community, recognizing our collective responsibility to continue to deliver a high-quality education system for all.
Meadowbrook Farms Elementary School, built in 1970, is one of the four neighborhood schools in East Greenwich. We work with students in grades preschool through grade 2, with a current enrollment of 256 students. Our highly effective staff provides a supportive teaching environment while delivering a rigorous, research-based curriculum. Meadowbrook Farms focuses on whole-child learning while supporting the needs of our students in developmentally appropriate ways. We encourage hands-on learning opportunities and practice daily social-emotional skill growth through direct instruction using a research-based curriculum. As a district, we deliver the Second Step Curriculum and engage in a newly refreshed Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (PBIS) program. In addition to the core coursework, our students have access to enrichment opportunities before and/or after the school day.
We have an active and engaging Parent Teacher Group (PTG). The PTG provides our school with enrichment programs and family-friendly events throughout the year. Our partnership with this organization and the families within the school supports the needs and interests of our students. We strive to provide a challenging learning environment to meet the needs of all learners, meeting them where they are and providing them with the support and opportunities to grow, learn, and foster independence.
